Setting goals for yourself is a great way to prepare your mind for upcoming growth. It gives yourself many steps on how to get there. The best way to start this process is to write down what you want to accomplish in the new year. Visualizing goals has been proven to increase goal achievement greatly. There are many ways this is possible. Vision boards are a great way to be able to visualize your goals in an easy and refreshing way. Creating a vision board sets intentions for your goals, see where you want to end up, and create a plan for how to get there. Vision boards are about crafting something that will inspire you to realize your dreams and goals daily. With creating a vision board, you allow yourself to have access to a physical reminder of what you want to accomplish, making it more likely to be attainable.

How do I make a vision board?

Once you have created a list of what you can accomplish, you are ready to bring them to life. The best thing about vision boards is the ability to completely customize it to your preference. There are so many ways to create physical or virtual vision boards. When you have decided which form of vision board works best for you, that’s where the fun part starts!

You can find pictures that represent your goals on so many platforms, such as Pinterest or google images. For instance, if one of your goals is to travel more throughout the year, you can find pictures all over the internet of traveling, places you want to visit, budgeting tools. All can be added to your vision board in any way you like. It is also great to find inspirational messages or words to place on your vision board to remind yourself of what you want to accomplish. Once you have found all the pictures, quotes, or messages you want to place for yourself on your vision board, you can place them in any fun order that works for you. Vision boards are completely based on one’s own perception, making it so easy to cater to your own needs.

After completing your vision board, you may be wondering, what happens now? While it is unfortunate that our dreams and goals cannot completely come into fruition overnight, creating a vision board is a great place to start! Placing your vision board in a place you are often reminded of is one of the best ways to increase your ability to achieve your goals. Being reminded of your goals daily helps keep your mind on track. This will motivate you to want to do what you can to get there. Be sure to reference your vision board often throughout the year, to allow yourself to feel good about what you have accomplished so far, and motivated to accomplish even more down the road.
